If you have it, give it!

Every Club member has a different home life and background - some that we may never understand. Katie, one of our volunteers, recognized this and decided to make a change.

"As I got to know the kids, I noticed one member wore the same thing every day. I was always taught 'if you have it, give it!' The next week, I bought clothes and shoes for her and wrapped them up as a gift from her foster mom so I didn't single her out among the other members. I didn't want it to look like a handout."

Katie, a current ULM student, volunteers every chance she has at the Club as a way to give back and love children.
