Doors are open! Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana Welcome Back Members
The Boys & Girls Clubs re-opened its doors on Sept. 14. The staff was met with eager and excited children as they got off the school buses and re-entered the Club houses for the first time since March.
The staff members were also thrilled to see the children’s faces and to provide afterschool programming, starting with a healthy snack when they got off the school buses.
Amid the excitement, safety remained our top priority. Each child had his or her temperature taken as soon as he or she walked through the door. The members were also asked a series of question to ensure they have not been exposed to COVID-19 and/or experiencing any symptoms.
Each group is limited to 10 people per room, while practicing social distancing. In order to best serve those who need us most, the organization is only accepting 2nd-8th graders for the fall semester on a first-come, first-served basis.
Our new operating hours will be 2:30-6 p.m. for the remainder of 2020 to allow our staff to thoroughly clean and sanitize the clubhouse at the end of the day.
