Boys & Girls Club receives grant from Taco Bell Foundation
WEST MONROE – The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana is pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive a grant as part of the Live Más program from the Taco Bell Foundation.
Since 1995, the Taco Bell Foundation has granted almost $50 million to approximately 300 Boys & Girls Clubs. The grant’s program helps and empowers the youth to explore and prepare for their future.
The donation will enable our Northeast Region to continue its focus on academic success and mentorship. Our programs are closely aligned with the developmental needs of all young people. Power Hour is a tutoring/homework assistance program aimed at improving academic performance in school, with an emphasis on reading and math. This has become an even bigger need due to learning loss from the COVID-19 pandemic.
This grant will also assist with our Youth of the Year program that is aimed at highlighting member achievement throughout the year. Honor and recognition is based on grade improvements, conflict resolution and exposure to career options through field trips, guest speakers and college tours.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana is grateful for Taco Bell’s continuous support. Earlier this year, the Taco Bell franchises ran a two-week fundraiser campaign at local franchises and raised more than $6,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Louisiana that will benefit our campuses in Ouachita and Lincoln parishes.
